is a storyteller, an award-winning writer/director/producer with a focus on social issues ranging from women’s rights, immigration and veterans with PTSD to voting rights. She works in multiple mediums, creating short films, documentaries, theatre, and PSA campaigns. Her work expands to include executive leadership roles as co-chair of the Emmy Award winning Women in Film, Production Program (2003-’13) and in 2012, as the Director of GlobalGirl Media-Chicago where she continues to mentor and promote the voice and stories of young women from underserved communities.
In 2018 Loomis produced a timely immigrant drama and one-woman show, Nick The Greek, which had its showcase premiere at The Greenhouse Theatre in Chicago.
Loomis has recently completed her collaboration with Varda Bar-Kar as a producer for the HBO feature documentary, Fandango At The Wall.
Antiope is first generation Greek Canadian and American and considers herself a global citizen. She’s worked and lived in three countries and continues to search for, create and promote initiatives and stories, which connects us to our shared humanity.
